THE MATH:
The Handle
Leaf Two is tested to exceed 1.1 million cycles. At a conservative 100 strokes per shave, that's 11,000 shaves. Shaving 4 times a week, and your handle will last you north of 50 years.
That's a penny per shave for the handle.
The Refills
Load two blades per refill: $1.00. Each refill lasts on average 10 shaves (this will vary per person). Cost per shave: $0.10.
Total amortized cost per shave: ~$0.12
SIMPLE BLADE LOADING:
Open the razor: slide the lockbar down to unlock the head. Flip all of the pieces down to start loading from the lowest position.
- Load in the bottom blade (matching the notches on both sides of the blade)
- Flip the middle piece up, load in the top blade
- Magnets help guide them into place
- Pinch the head closed to latch it
Blade refills last on average between 8 and 12 shaves, more or less depending on how often and where you’re shaving.
