Monty’s Bags are made from cornstarch and plant-based materials (PLA + PBAT) — meaning they break down naturally in just 3–6 months once disposed of. Traditional plastic poop bags can take hundreds of years, if ever, to decompose. Choosing Monty’s helps reduce plastic waste, supports a cleaner planet, and gives your dog walk a more eco-friendly footprint.

Our compostable dog poop bags fully break down in 3–6 months, depending on conditions. This is dramatically faster than plastic bags, which can linger in landfills for hundreds of years or may never fully degrade. Our compostable bags are BPI Certified Compostable (Canada only) and meet OK Compost and TÜV Austria standards, ensuring they break down properly in composting environments.

Each bag measures 9 x 13 inches, giving you more room and easier tie-off than many standard-sized poop bags. Great for large dogs, messy pickups, or pet parents who appreciate extra space.
